Four-car crash could result in charges, police say

Grand Forks Police are weighing charges in a four-car pile up where one driver allegedly left the scene Wednesday night on the city's south end.

Police say 60-year-old Terry Williams was driving his 2001 Buick LeSabre northbound on South Washington Street at about 7:10 p.m. when he sideswiped a 1997 Chevrolet Lumina driven by 20-year-old Kaylee Johnston near 24th Avenue South.

The Buick then hit a 2015 Audi driven by 55-year-old Dean Barsness that was stopped at the light, which was pushed into a 2016 Dodge Journey, according to a news release.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Police said Johnston left the scene in her Lumina, and was located shortly afterward in the 2800 block of Cherry Street.

The Buick and Audi were both towed from the scene.

The crash investigation is ongoing, and police said charges are pending in the matter.
