David Stone of Roseau, Minn., released this 38-inch lake trout Saturday, Jan. 6, while fishing near Brush Island on the Minnesota side of Lake of the Woods. The fish likely strayed down from the Ontario side of the lake, which has more of the deep, coldwater habitat lake trout prefer.
